Дирижер РОМАН ЛЕОНТЬЕВ родился в 1963 г. в Ульяновской области. Закончил   Специальную  музыкальную школу  при консерватории им. Глинки (Новосибирск) и Российскую Академию им. Гнесиных (Москва)  по специальности балалайка. Учился дирижированию  в классе профессора А.Каца ( Новосибирская государственная консерватория) и  знаменитого И.Мусина  ( аспирантура Санкт-Петербургской  консерватории).

      С 1988 г. солист Новосибирской филармонии , доцент Новосибирской консерватории. С  1999 г. дирижер  Санкт-Петербургском государственного  симфонического  оркестра "Классика" и  театра «Санкт-Петербург опера». В 2011 г. возглавил Петербургский симфонический оркестр "Чайковский", с которым провел большое гастрольное турне по США.

       Выступал в качестве приглашенного дирижера со многими знаменитыми симфоническими и камерными коллективами. 

       В театре "Северная Венеция" осуществил постановки опер Г.Генделя "Ацис и Галатея", П.Чайковского "Пиковая дама".

He has performed with the Youth Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre in concerts dedicated to the memory of Professor I. Musina at the MariinskyTheatre and the Philharmonic Great Hall.
He has performed with symphony orchestras in Russia: Moscow, Tver,Novosibirsk, Ryazan, Ekaterinburg, Sochi, Tomsk, Volgograd.
He has toured with the orchestra in South-West Philharmonic in Konstanz(Germany). The tour took place in the cities of phreaking, Romanshorn,Schaffhausen (Switzerland) and Constance (Germany). The concertclarinetist Michael Collins (Britain).
He conducted the orchestra with them. Toscanini in Parma (Italy), Orchestraof the Hungarian Television.

Implemented a number of operas: Tchaikovsky "The Queen of Spades", Handel "Acis and Galatea" (Opera House, "Venice of the North", St. Petersburg), etc.
